Madeleine (Madi) Mahoux's (Belgium) Classification Talk and Home Club Banner Presentation to club President Thor Olsen

New Generations & Vocational Service – Our inbound 2013/14 international Rotary Exchange Student – Madeleine (Madi) Mahoux, from Belgium presented her “Classification Talk”. Madi, through her power point slide show, introduced herself and her home country. Seen here, Madi is presenting a banner from her home Rotary Club (Rotary Club of  Ocquier en Condroz)  to our club President, Thor Olsen.

Madi's three host families for the 2013/14 year were present for the lunch to support her and enjoy the presentations. Many thanks to Madi’s host families for the year - Dr. Mark and Kristen Ghesquiere, Jamie and Laurie Rodgers, and Roddy and Tina Millea. In her presentation Madi said, 'These life changing experiences and memories are only possible through the volunteering host families and your Rotary Club of Simcoe -Thank You!'

Madi lives on a dairy farm and her slide show also featured slides of championship cattle “Blanc Bleu Belge" (Belgian Blue) raised by her family. Madi attends Simcoe Composite School (SCS). Madi will be competing in the  OFSAA ( Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations) swim meet in Brantford on March 4th in the 50-metre butterfly category. This is a high level of accomplishment and competition within Ontario.
