District Governor Kevin Crosby

This is District Governor (DG) Kevin Crosby receiving a warm welcome from The Rotary Club of Simcoe's President Tim FitzGerald. Our Rotary International District (RI) 7090 encompasses 69 clubs extending from Delhi to Hamilton and across the border including Western New York State. The DG is a busy person visiting all 69 clubs in his 2015/16 year. Kevin applauded our club for the service (Service Above Self) of its members and accomplishments (Be A Gift To The World) in improving both local and global communities.

Kevin reminded us of the our own accomplishments and how we are enabling Rotary International to achieve our common mandate "To End Polio Now".

* New Generations (Youth) Service - we are a club that has sponsored young leaders though three venues of  leadership and community development being:
  • Rotary Interact Club - Waterford High School
  • RYLA - Rotary Leadership Awards - 1 week programme abroad
  • Rotaract Club - young adults 18 to 30'ish years old
* International Community Service - our project in Tanzania
* International World Service - Polio less than 50 cases world wide (but that is still 50 cases too many!)
* Club Service - "Rotary is not abstract" - clubs are at the top of an inverse pyramid - RI is at the bottom enabling our powers for paths to world peace through our diversity and collaboration.
